Staking Behaviour
Every stake on Ethereum and PulseChain, replayed from the chain: what is coming due, how people end their stakes, and who stakes through protocols.
These charts come from LookIntoHex's own index of every HEX event on both chains. A stake is early if it ended before serving its full term (and paid a penalty), on time if it ended within the 14-day grace period after maturing, and late after that.
eHEX maturing in 7 days
eHEX maturing in 30 days
eHEX maturing in 1 year
eHEX matured, not ended
pHEX maturing in 7 days
pHEX maturing in 30 days
pHEX maturing in 1 year
pHEX matured, not ended
Upcoming Unlocks
Principal of open stakes by when they mature, in 30-day blocks (log scale by default — a few 50B+ stakes dwarf the rest). Stakes can be ended penalty-free from their maturity day.
Unlock Pressure
HEX in stakes maturing over the next 30 days, and HEX in stakes that have matured but not been ended yet, for every day in history.
Stake Ends
Stakes ended in the trailing 30 days, split by timing.
Early & Late Ends
Share of stake ends that were early (penalised) or late, trailing 30 days.
Length of New Stakes
Average committed length of stakes started in the trailing 30 days — per stake and weighted by HEX.
Re-stake Rate
New stakes started by an address within 7 days of ending one, as a share of stake ends (trailing 30 days).
Staked by Protocols
Staked HEX held by protocol contracts (Hedron HSIs, Maximus pools, …) and Safe multisigs. Everything else is staked from personal wallets.
Fork Split
Every stake open at the May 2023 fork exists on both chains under the same ID. How their owners have ended them since.
